Phantom Abyss first dropped towards our eyes at the back end of Phantom Abyss 2022. At that time it was all about enjoying the Early Access / Game Preview vibes, much like the phenom that is Palworld is doing now. Phantom Abyss requested you to run a gauntlet though, as fast as you could. We descended into Phantom Abyss and quite enjoyed what was on offer.

Cool gimmick in that you see the phantoms of other players as they go through the same traps that you are, however I have played a few temples that are either new or randomly generated and there are just...no other phantoms?

Phantom Abyss is a massive asynchronous multiplayer game that casts players into procedurally-generated temples and tasks them with retrieving the sacred relics hidden within deadly chambers. Intrepid adventurers will dodge scores of hidden traps, leap treacherous chasms, and flee relentless guardians through branching paths until one of the relics are claimed or the devices of death overwhelm them.
